Steven Gerrard pleased by Steven Davis and referee’s assistant in Rangers win

Rangers director Steven Gerrard hailed skipper Steven Davis along with also the referee’s assistant following Sunday’s 4-0 triumph.

«It might have put us under pressure late on but with our all-purpose application I felt we thoroughly deserved the clean sheet.»
Gerrard was thrilled to see his side going through the gears after the interval.
«First half we did OK and got to a few great places. But we didn’t have quality and it wasn’t connecting in the last third. This was why we didn’t create,» the former England midfielder said.
«We had one great chance with Alfredo but we will need to try and create more.

Rangers were fired by morelos forward and Gerrard is expecting his talisman has cleaned his act up after last season problems.
«Alfredo deserved that aim for his effort and desire. Against a different type of resistance on Thursday against Feyenoord that he had been unplayable.
«He is in good location, he’s enjoying his football and he is behaving himself. He was shaking the Warriors from the hand on the way off so he’s definitely trying!
«He’s a match-winner and I am very pleased with him.
